At Haven, we aim to make yoga accessible—we were all new once, too! We’re here to welcome you as you are, and support you to tailor your practice so that it’s just right for you. Many people believe they must already be flexible to start a yoga practice. Not true! All you need is the desire and openness to learn.


We have a variety of slow moving, moderately paced, and more physically demanding classes available weekly. You’ve got to start somewhere; here are our favorite entry points!

For complete beginners to yoga, we recommend any weekly drop-in classes marked in their description as “beginners encouraged”, including: Candlelight Yoga, Soul Flow, and Stress Relief Yoga. These classes move at a slower pace and allow a little more time and freedom to figure things out. If you’re looking for something more active and don’t mind moving quickly, our Flow might be a good fit. Yoga 101: Beginner’s Intensive- Looking to take a yoga class that starts at the very beginning? This class is right up your alley. Learn the basics of yoga with people in the same spot as you are. This 3.5 hour workshop helps to establish a strong foundation for a lifelong yoga practice with emphasis on breath work, physical alignment, strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. There will be plenty of time and assistance offered to each student, and props will be used as needed to make each yoga pose work for your body. Find upcoming Yoga 101 workshop dates here

Can’t make it to the Yoga 101 workshop or those specific class styles? Feel free to come try another class that suits your availability and interest. Know that you can always take your practice at your own pace, find variations of poses that work for you, and take breaks when you need. If you’re a complete beginner, we recommend avoiding Empower Flow as your first class, because it moves at a faster pace and requires some knowledge of general yoga poses and principles.

What to Expect in a Yoga Class at Haven


We suggest arriving 15 minutes before your first class. That way, you can introduce yourself to the teacher and tell them anything that’s on your mind! You’ll also have time to fill out a simple waiver form and get oriented to the space. 


We have a single pass for $10 or $5 for our Sunday Community Love Class. We also have a $21 for 21 days unlimited class pass, for folks new to our studio, and a $59 monthly unlimited Sustaining Membership.


We have mats available for free to use, as well as all other props you might need for class. You’ll also find cubbies in the lobby to store your belongings, water and tea, and a restroom.


Most of our classes are 60 minutes, though we have a couple of 45 minute lunch time classes. Most 60-minute classes follow a general format of 3-5 minutes of centering, meditation, or breathing exercises at the start of practice, followed by movement (varies depending on the type of class), and ending in a 5-8 minute “savasana” or “final rest” where students find a comfortable position to rest. 75-minute and 90-minute classes may offer longer opportunities for centering/meditation/breathing practice at the beginning and savasana/resting at the end. 30-minute classes will often have shortened centering practices and a shortened savasana/rest.

What if I'm not flexible?

I've never taken a yoga class before.

Studio items provided: We have yoga mats, blocks, straps, eye pillows, and a restroom for student use. We provide filtered water on-site. What to wear: Wear items you can comfortably move your body in. Please note: Shoes are not permitted in the practice space beyond the front area. (Yoga Concerige)??
